IT Specialist (Security)

Code 710/Cybersecurity Services and Integration Division



Serves as a Security Engineer and is a member of the Cybersecurity Services and Integration Division (CSID). CSID is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Goddard's critical data and IT Assets. Incumbent will demonstrate strong team collaboration and senior technical level customer communications and project management.



Responsibilities
Serves as an authoritative expert and security engineer for the Cybersecurity Services located at the Goddard Space Flight Center.
Serves as a recognized expert in cybersecurity providing authoritative guidance related to the Center's IT security program.
Leads and integrates IT security controls and processes with Center, Agency, other federal agencies and other law enforcement agencies domestically and abroad.
Manages day-to-day Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) requirements, budget and contract tasks and performance measures.
Reviews procurement packages, coordinating with intelligent entities and facilitating and documenting approvals with stakeholders.
Review, analyze and troubleshoot programs, plans, and current issues to determine processes and/or recommendations that will result in the best interests for the Agency.
Plan, manage and coordinate areas of security, telecommunications and automation which interface or impact the infrastructure at Centers.
Identify significant and potential cyber security problems, trends and weaknesses.
