Senior Box Program - Food from the USDA (Reply Email to Me for Fliers - PDF I Can't Post)

 SFP Program/Senior Box – The Senior Box Program distributes Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) food from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) that is managed by the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) to income-eligible seniors (60+), please see attached fact sheet.

What’s included?

Shelf-stable CSFP food (valued at $50 retail) to clients with ingredients such as dry beans/peanut butter, rice or pasta, canned vegetables, fruits, and meats, shelf stable milk.  In addition, we provide when available, fresh produce and bonus items along with the CSFP box.

Who’s eligible:

• Residents of the following counties where we distribute: Harris, Montgomery, Galveston, Brazoria, Waller, Walker, Chambers, Liberty, Fort Bend etc.
  – Seniors who are age 60 (and over)
  – Seniors with household income that does not exceed the following guidelines:
  – The total household income for a household of 1 must be no more than $1396.
  – The total household income for a household of 2 must be no more than $1888.

We have several community centers/multiservice centers that we service throughout Harris County and we’d like to spread the word and reach more seniors to serve.

In addition, I’ve included a calendar for our second half for distributions including dates, time and location as well as some more flyers including for our home delivery program for seniors that are homebound and/or without any transportation.
