Virtual Forum George Floyd Where Are We After One Year Wed. June 9th Noon-1:30pm

 























Dear friend and colleagues:

On Wednesday, June 9th , from  12 noon – 1:30 p.m. , there will be a Virtual Forum:  GEORGE FLOYD: WHERE ARE WE AFTER ONE YEAR?  that is sponsored by the university wide Racial Equity & Social Justice Committee (RESJC) that I Co-Chair with Dean Robert McPherson of the College of Education. The speakers will be:

                                
1. Professor Rheeda Walker,  UH Department of Psychology

                             2. Professor Sandra Guerra Thompson, UH Law Center
                             3. Troy Finner, Chief Houston Police Department
                             4. Laurence “Larry” Payne, Chair, Mayor’s Task Force of Policing Reform
                             5. Professor Nicholas De Genova, Chair, UH Department of Cultural Studies
