On Friday, February 18, also at 6:30 p.m. (Houston) the University will pay tribute to the late Toni Morrison in a production featuring President Ruth J. Simmons who was a personal friend to the legendary writer and for years gave a birthday party for her at the Four Seasons in New York City; our Classic Dance Ensemble; the PV Singers; and the noted spoken word artist, Houston's Poet Laureate, Emanualee Bean, "Outspoken Bean"
