Americore - 50 Spots to Fill- Share with College Students recruiting interested college aspiring students, college students, gap year students and recent grads for our fall 2022 SERVE HOUSTON AmeriCorps cohort.

Dear Faith Leaders:

We have a special request to ask you.  Please share information about our SERVE HOUSTON AmeriCorps program with college students, gap year students, recent graduates, and college aspiring students through your social mediaemail, and other communication channels by the end of April.  Let us know if you can do so! We have 50 spots to fill and want to reach as many candidates as possible across Houston to ensure a diverse and enthusiastic cohort.

As you know, Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston feeds 5000+ homebound seniors and their pets daily, resettles refugees, promotes interfaith dialogue and understanding, and transforms our community through volunteerism.  Among our signature programs is our SERVE HOUSTON AmeriCorps program, which is a six-month, 20 hours a week, service-learning experience starting mid-September and ending early April 2023. Selected participants (called AmeriCorps Members) will be placed in teams of five at one of our ten local nonprofit project sites to help “get things done” by working directly with some of our community’s most vulnerable people.

BENEFITS INCLUDE
$4,500 living allowance (distributed bi-weekly)
$1,718 Segal education award
Professional training
And much more!

You can find all the information you need to help us recruit in our PROMOTER PLAYBOOK.
Our playbook includes social media images, a video, an addition to your email signature line, a Zoom background, and many more ways to share with your audiences! Please email cg@volunteerhouston.org for assistance with the playbook, or any other questions.

As always, thanks for being a valued partner of Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston.  Please let us know if you have any questions.

With much appreciation,
