The Waymon Webster Scholarship
Jordan Webster, Howard University Class of 2022 and Program Manager of the Waymon Webster HBCU Scholarship Fund.

For the second consecutive year, the Waymon Webster Scholarship Fund has granted 100 $10,000 scholarships to graduating seniors at Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

To be eligible to receive a scholarship, a student must be a graduating senior with an average GPA of 3.5 or higher ago who also may be experiencing financial challenges in their final Spring 2022 semester.

This scholarship provides financial support to students and families towards final tuition fees, in order for as many students as possible to graduate and receive their college diploma.

All 38 HBCUs were represented in this year’s 2022 class of scholarship recipients, which was named after Travis Scott’s grandfather for his dedication towards Black academic excellence.

"Waymon Webster was a Dean of the Prairie View A&M graduate school. My grandfather wanted me to take it all the way through college, I feel there is a power in education so to be able to give someone the opportunity to fulfill that dream as my papa thought for me is amazing." - Travis Scott
