The City of Houston is calling on volunteers to donate their time in celebrating our commemoration of freedom and Juneteenth celebration at Mayor Sylvester Turner’s 9th Annual Acres Homes Juneteenth Parade. We need volunteers to spread the word to friends, family members, churches, and organizations to make this a fun parade and celebration. Assignments include staging assistants, cooling zone captains, parade operations, volunteer check-in, merge captains, and disbanding assistants. In return for your time, volunteers will be treated to light snacks, free parking and more. We hope to see you on June 18th. We cannot bring a celebration like this to Houston without our amazing volunteers
