Mayor Sylvester Turner’s Hire Houston Youth (HHY) is still accepting applicants. Although the deadline to apply to opportunities with the City of Houston closed April 8, there are still plenty of positions available in the Public, Private, and Philanthropic sectors. In fact, Mayor Turner’s HHY program has recently reached an exciting milestone, now offering over 10,000 positions on our Job Board. Nearly 400 employers have joined the program and counting. Mayor Turner set an ambitious goal of offering 12,000 opportunities for the summer of 2022, with a stretch goal of 15,000 and Hire Houston Youth is well on its way to achieving that goal. Mayor Sylvester Turner’s HHY program will stop recruiting June 5th.
