Port City Links Health, Education, Science Fair and Carnival at the South Central Sportz Baseball Opening Day -- INFORMATION FOR BOOTH PARTICIPANTS! Would YOU like a booth?

Your organization is invited to participate on Saturday March 28, 2014 from 10:30am – 1:30pm Booths Open-(set up is 30 min prior) at the Port City Links, Inc. - “10th Annual Health, Education, Science Fair, and Carnival.   This community wide Fair and Carnival will have science, health and education and summer camp booths as well as FREE Carnival activities such as Rock Climbing Wall, Face Painting, Tea Cup Ride and more!  The Fair and Carnival will be held at Sunnyside Park, located at 3502 Bellfort, Houston, TX 77051.

Each year the fair is held in conjunction with the Opening Day Ceremony for South Central Sportz Baseball now in its 14th year!   Last year there were over 600 attendees and more are anticipated this year!

Special Thanks to sponsor HISD School Board Member Paula Harris and Director of Community Affairs Schlumberger, if you sponsor a booth, complimentary lunch is provided for your volunteers who are Fair participants (please send the names of volunteers with your booth confirmation).

We encourage interactive exhibits, informational games, prizes, health screenings, brochures and “hands on experiments”. The more interactive booths fascinate the youth and parents who attend each year, and assure lots of traffic at your booth.

Special Thanks to Sponsors A-Rocket Moving and Port City Links...There is no cost to your organization to participate in the Fair. If you can bring your own set up (table, chairs, and/or tent), please do so. This greatly reduces our booth rental costs which directly helps us to provide additional exciting Carnival items as well as other activities and prizes for the kids! For participants without your own set-up, you will be provided a 6 foot table and 2 chairs with tent underwriting provided by our sponsors (Special Note: in some cases, depending on organization requirements, tables we provide we will plan to be shared by organizations participating).

Again, thank you for considering participating in our Health Fair this year. The Third Ward/Sunnyside area is an underserved community where Health, Education, and Science outreach can make a tremendous difference in the lives of children and families in the area.   In previous years, we’ve had typically over 50 booth participants – this year we hope to be the biggest and best ever! We are so looking forward to seeing you!

Special Thanks...Constable May Walker and Deputies will volunteer again at the Fair!
