The 2016 Baylor
University Summer Science Research Program will be held from July 6 - August
10. The deadline to apply is March 2, 2016.
The purpose of the
Baylor University Summer Science Research Program (BUSSRP) is to give superior
students hands-on research experience by working on research projects with
Baylor University science professors in many disciplines. The research program
occurs during the University's second session of summer school.
Students are selected
from incoming Baylor freshmen to be involved in this summer research program,
that allows them to earn one semester hour of college credit. It is hoped that
this experience will have a positive effect on student interest in careers in
science disciplines and allow them to begin a program of undergraduate
research.
The director of the
program is Dr. Frank Mathis, Associate Dean for Sciences in the College of Arts
and Sciences at Baylor University. (topic Shared by Efamily member Janice Weaver/Sharis Bowman)
