Twenty-three years ago, Baly founded BalyProjects to provide clients with government affairs and media relations services. Additionally, she advises Governor Greg Abbott on Higher Education initiatives. She serves as Vice Chair and appointee of Harris County Commissioners Court on the Harris County Women's Commission, dealing with economic development and business opportunities for women. Jacquie is a 2023 Texas Women's Hall of Fame Inductee and was honored for her efforts and hard work. Community Spotlight pop-3 Our November community spotlight speaker will be Merri Hahn, Outreach and Heart Gallery Manager for BEAR…Be A Resource For Kids, the nonprofit dedicated to providing basic needs and supportive services to children in the protective custody of Child Protective Services and at-risk children throughout Harris County. We’re kicking off a WPG holiday project to support the BEARing Gifts program by hosting a toy drive among our members where they will be asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy to our December meeting. WPG awards merit-based scholarships twice each year (Fall and Spring) to female residents of the Greater Houston area who are students in good standing at an accredited university/college in the Greater Houston area. Candidates must be pursuing studies for a career in public service. Fall Scholarship recipients must be able to attend the WPG Luncheon to be held on December 7, 2023.
