Idea that is spreading like wild fire - Go Fund Me for Hidden Figures Screenings for Youth -- AKA link to Hidden Figures

Full disclosure (I am an AKA) but I also know there were over 50 women computers and I am certain all the sororities were a part of this History...
Sharing info from an efamily member ...
Hidden Figures movement continues ...Now raising funds for Pittsburgh...Tell your friends, especially AKAs in Pittsburgh since
Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Mary Jackson are all AKAs......These AKAs/mathematicians/engineers were busy women with families, careers, sorority, etc. who serve as role models.  (In fact, Katherine Johnson had just gone to a quiet hotel in the Pennsylvania mountains for a weekend retreat with about 100 AKAs around the time of the moon landing in 1969.)

To support the private screening, donate at:  https://www.gofundme.com/hidden-figures-movie-screening

After the screening, they are planning to host a panel of professionals representing various tech groups in Pittsburgh. Attendees should be able to leave with inspiration from the movie and resources to pursue Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields.

It is fitting that this month is also Black History month. Donating to this event is a great way to share this inspirational, transformative story, which can light the fire of focus and interest in the sciences.

... please spread the word about this event!

Thank you so much!
------------
HIDDEN FIGURES is the untold story of Katherine Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (Octavia Spencer), and Mary Jackson (Janelle MonĂ¡e) -- brilliant African-American women working at NASA, who served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit, a stunning achievement that restored the nation’s confidence, turned around the Space Race, and galvanized the world. The visionary trio crossed all gender and race lines to inspire generations to dream big.
