Greetings!
Many
of you may know students who are looking for summer employment. We have a
slew of internship openings for a variety of positions and we’d love for you to
share this information with interested parties.
While
there are many opportunities across the Bank, I want to bring your attention to
a number of openings in the Center for the Advancement of Data and and Research
in Economics (CADRE). We are currently looking for:
- Two
interns to develop applications: one to collect and track library metrics,
one to develop a new database and application to track our economic
forecasts. (https://frb.taleo.net/careersection/jobdetail.ftl?job=249620)
- Two
interns to work in our High Performance Computing (HPC) environment: one
working with users to optimize Python and/or Julia code; one to help
optimize the administration of the cluster itself. (https://frb.taleo.net/careersection/jobdetail.ftl?job=249597)
- Two
interns to help with economic data analysis: one to develop a
real-time time series database; one to develop a time series of textual
descriptions of economic conditions. (https://frb.taleo.net/careersection/jobdetail.ftl?job=249600)
- One intern
to revise and update the bibliographic records in our library system,
inventory library materials, and index research publications
((https://frb.taleo.net/careersection/jobdetail.ftl?job=249619)
All
these positions are in my part of the Research Division so interns will be able
to have regular interaction with data scientists, technology specialists, and
research economists.
