ILECF Scholarship Application

The applicant must be a graduating high school student during the Spring
2020cfghhhh Semester with plans to attend an accredited college or university.
Applicants must reside in the Greater Houston Area.
The scholarship is a one-time award in the amount of $1000 to a 4-year
college/university, or $500 to a junior college, community college or vocational school.
A letter of acceptance from the college of the applicant’s choice is required. Proof of
enrollment in the form of a tuition fee receipt must be presented before award is
disbursed.
Application and Essay must be typed.
Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA. An official transcript (with school seal) must
be submitted with application.
Applicants must submit three (3) letters of recommendation (one from school
counselor, one from a teacher, and one from a church or community leader).
Students are reminded to use correct essay structure and check grammar and
spelling before submitting application.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
*Postmark deadline for returning application is April 4, 2020. No exceptions.
**Only scholarship winners will be notified. Decision of the judges is final.
