Harris County Commissioner Precinct One is looking for a Community Center Program Manager that will be responsible for managing all aspects of programming for an assigned Community Center. This position will be assigned to the Julia C Hester House location. The successful candidate will be able to plan, develop, organize and implement community-based programming for youth and adults. The importance is placed on adult life skills, enrichment, and wellness activities and the management of the staff that supports these efforts.
The position requires creative and innovative measurement of outcomes to be set in order to achieve program goals, coordination, and management of strategies for all program areas as well as identifying emerging needs and trends. The individual selected will manage the budget and identify potential program funding opportunities where appropriate. The successful candidate must have management experience and track record of successful collaboration with other organizations and agencies with community-based missions and goals.
Requirements
What you will bring to Precinct One
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in Social Work, Counseling, Sociology, Psychology, Management or Business Administration
Five (5) years of experience in managing, developing, coordinating and directing various community programs
Experience may substitute for education on a year for year basis
Computer Proficiency in Microsoft software applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Publisher
