Good Afternoon HBCU Colleagues and Friends,NSF SealUNCF A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Waste
In support of the Administration's recent announcement of the National Week of Making, June 17-23, and National Maker Faire, June 18-19, the White House Initiative on HBCUs, the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), and the National Science Foundation (NSF) invite you to participate in the HBCU/TCU Making & Innovation Challenge.                                                                                                                                                                                   
This challenge is designed to provide an opportunity for you to showcase the talent and innovation at our nation’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Tribal Colleges and Universities.  

 To participate:
  1. Check your eligibility
  2. Register on Challenge.gov by April 20.
  3. Host a Make-a-Thon on Campus: (Open to all TCUs and HBCUs) no later than April 29.
  4. Go to “Submit Solution” to submit a PDF or PowerPoint presentation no longer than 5 pages/slides. April 29.
  5. Semi-Finalists will be required to submit a video presentation via YouTube/Vimeo.  Link must be submitted under “Submit Solution” by June 1.
