Volunteers Needed to Host Zoom Events with Kids in Foster Care (Needing Adoption) - Efamily Member Laura Herbert (Peavy)

There are monthly events to meet kids waiting for adoption (contact me for Zoom invite for training which is required to participate in these Zoom calls, along with a background check also required before you can participate as a volunteer in the Monthly Zoom event with the kids).

At these monthly events the youth do not know the adults attending are considering adoption so it's no pressure. Last month they played Celebrity Trivia (Head Bands via Zoom). Before COVID-19, they had events such as golf, tennis, cooking clinics, home design, tea parties, etc. Future events will include going to a community garden and volunteering at an animal shelter (after the COVID-19 lock-down).

Volunteers (as well as ideas for events welcome) are also needed to help plan and/or host the monthly events for the kids.


Note: NOT SURE? If you are not sure if you are interested in adoption you can just text Laura that you have an interest in being a volunteer (volunteers to help with the zoom events don't have to be interested in adoption). If you are an efamily member I know personally let Laura know that in making the connection - there is 100% confidentiality working with Laura of course. She's great, good-hearted and a longtime efamily member!
