Latricia, 17, is only one year away from having a high school diploma AND a cosmetology degree. She loves going on walks, drawing, singing, and playing video games. Some of her favorite foods are ice cream, pepperoni pizza, and boneless hot wings. She enjoys shopping and hanging out at home watching scary movies. Her favorite classes in school are English, cosmetology, and environmental science. Latricia is easy going, polite, and extroverted. She makes friends easily. She is described as “determined, delightful, goal-oriented, and dedicated” by her foster parent. She does well in school and plans to go on to nursing school next fall. Although it might sound like she is already on her feet, she knows the value of family and wants to be adopted.
Latricia was raised by a wonderful mother who left the world too soon. With no family available to take care of her, she is waiting for her forever to begin again. Latricia would do well in a permanent home where her goals and dreams are celebrated and encouraged. She would thrive both as an only child in a home or one with siblings. Latricia thrives in the role of a big sister. Latricia has 2 younger siblings with whom she is very close. Any potential adoptive homes need to be encouraging and supportive of her continued contact with them. Her foster parent says, “Latricia has the determination to make it, she just needs a little boost.” Could you be the boost she needs?
