Houston Health Department's COVID-19 vaccination appointment portal open for 1,200 slots on April 9-10

The Houston Health Department's COVID-19 vaccine appointment portal is open for approximately 1,200 COVID-19 vaccination appointment slots on April 9-10, 2021.

 The appointments are for 132 first doses of Moderna vaccine at Bayou Center Event Center on April 9, 63 doses of Moderna vaccine at the department's health centers on April 9, and 1,017 doses of Johnson & Johnson vaccine at God's Grace Community Church on April 9-10.

The Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are approved for people 18 and older.

 

Visit HoustonEmergency.org/covid19 to register for the appointment slots. 

Appointment registration is also available by phone via:

• Area Agency on Aging for people 60 and older at 832-393-4301, and 
• Disability Resource Center for people with disabilities at 832-393-5500.

The appointment portals close when the slots fill. Appointments are only confirmed upon receipt of an email or text message and confirmation numbers/QR codes will be verified on site. People who show up without confirmed appointments will be turned away. People can learn about new health department appointment opportunities through email, text message, voice call, or mobile app push notification by registering for the HoustonRecovers subscription of AlertHouston at AlertHouston.org. Additional information is available at HoustonEmergency.org/covid19
