Women's Health Awareness 2021 Virtual Conference Registration

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, Clinical Research Branch, the Office of Human Research and Community Engagement will be hosting the 7th Annual Women's Health Awareness (WHA): Women’s Wellness Conference. The topic of the virtual conference will be Race and Health: Changing the Narrative, Reaching for Equity.

Harriet Washington

Keynote speaker is Harriet Washington, bioethicist and award-winning author of several books including Medical Apartheid: The Dark History of Medical Experimentation on Black Americans from Colonial Times to the Present and A Terrible Thing to Waste: Environmental Racism and Its Assault on the American Mind. She is the recipient of the National Book Critics Circle Award, PEN Oakland Award, and American Library Association Black Caucus Nonfiction Award.
