MASK UP, Houston! Along with Mayor Sylvester Turner, OBO is encouraging everyone to comply with the new Harris County order that everyone over the age of 10 wear a face covering while in businesses or on commercial properties, including employees and all visitors and customers. The order has been in effect since June 22,2020. Failure to comply may result in a fine not to exceed $1,000 for each violation. According to the Houston Health Department (HHD), COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations continue to increase in Houston and Harris County. In the first half of June, more people went to the ER for COVID-19-related issues than the entire month of May, with a significant increase in people age 18-44.
