Volunteers Needed at the POLLS!

Happy Halloween, ghouls and ghosts are among us! But do you know what the scariest spectre is? Not trying our absolute hardest to get our communities out to vote. No, seriously! As an organizer, I find that one of the scariest feelings post-election is wondering if you could have done more to mobilize voters!

That’s why I’m reaching out to you individually because we are STILL in need of Polling Place Volunteer Squad members to help their communities turn out to vote ON Election Day.

Remember, as a member of the Polling Place Squad, you will engage with voters leaving the polls and encourage them to remind their friends and family to vote. Studies have shown that this is a powerful tool to increase turnout! It’s super easy and effective -- and dare we say, fun?

Here’s what Voting Squad Captain and Polling Place Volunteer Squad member Ellen had to say about her shift in Minneapolis during early voting:

“My location was packed…long lines, many cars driving in to drop off ballots at the white tent in the back of the line, drive-up voting from your car for the handicapped. Very encouraging! Lots of verbal support and commitments to triple the vote.”

*To find your location, press the “more filters” button and narrow to your city*

Once you’ve signed up, you have to join a training, so please follow the instructions to get trained before getting your polling place assignment!

Every thing you do to get out the vote counts. And don’t forget, our team is right here along with you! Together, we’ll do everything in our power to make a big impact on November 3rd.

Let’s leave it all on the field,

Andrew
